Chas Murphy

Joining Secura in 2019 as an associate advisor, Chas enjoys helping business owners, medical professionals, and families bring clarity to complex financial decisions. He believes good planning begins with listening—taking the time to understand what is important to each client, the life they want to build, and the goals they hope to achieve.

Chas brings together investment, insurance, retirement, and estate planning considerations into a coordinated financial plan that clients can understand and act on. He especially enjoys working alongside clients as their careers, businesses, and families evolve, helping them adjust their plans along the way. His goal is to give clients the confidence to enjoy life today while knowing they are making thoughtful decisions for the future.

In 2026, Chas was named one of Business Elite Awards’ “40 Under 40” honourees for Canada. This Canada-wide recognition celebrates professionals under the age of 40 for their leadership, achievements, and impact within their industries. Chas sees the honour as a reflection of the trust his clients have placed in him, the relationships he has built, and his commitment to continuing to grow as an advisor. He is also a proud graduate of St. Lawrence College’s Marketing – Business Administration program.

On the personal side

Born and raised in Kingston, Chas lives in the area with his wife, Megan, and their two sons. Family, friends, and community remain an important part of his life, and he enjoys supporting local organizations and initiatives whenever he can. Outside the office, Chas enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and, on occasion, still playing and following hockey and soccer.
